Does anyone else like flight sims? If so what's your favorite?

TIE Fighter CD Collectors Edition, hands down... You mean real, Earth-based planes not destroying stuff though, don't you?

I'm afraid the last I tried was MS Flight Sim years ago, however I just remembered that Google Earth has a built in Flight simulator though. Serious.

You can download Google Earth for free, here: http://earth.google.com/
The controls for the flight sim are here: http://earth.google.com/intl/en/userguide/v4/flightsim/index.html

Basically you just launch the program and hit Ctrl + Alt + A (Command(Apple Key) + Option + A on the Mac).

I played like wings on the Amiga in the old days but now I just stay away from these types of games because they are pretty boring imo now

I mean any kind of flight simulator. You can either be flying a casual plane or firing missiles from a star fighter at everything that moves.

In that case, I have never found anything that I have enjoyed nearly as much as TIE Fighter (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars:_TIE_Fighter). It's a very old Star Wars game released in 1994-5, DOS-era. I suppose Wing Commander 3 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wing_Commander_3) from around the same time was also very good. Nothing I've seen since can compare to those two games, not that I've really been looking though.

I love Tie Fighter too. I really wish they'd make another one like it. Rogue Squadron was cool too, but most of them are on the Gamecube.

Well, try looking for a copy of Wing Commander 3, if you could track one down. It's a great space combat sim, and it's some pretty big name actors for the live action parts as well.

It's been so long since I played one, I couldn't tell you what game it was.
