ooh man there are so many to choose from even though i havnt played too much of them but I would probably have to say final fantasy IX, digimon digital card battle, or the spyro series.

But that may change because I plan on getting final fantasy VII and VIII eventually.

Although I don't think MGS was the "best" game on the PS1, I really did enjoy it breaking down the walls and kind of pointing out hey this is a game.

Switching controller ports, and checking the case, just the little things.

I only played the PS1 where ever it was. My friends, daycare, or family's friends. But I liked the Spyro games as well. :)

The one where I have to get all the dragonflies was the most fun to play. I think me and my friend have a dragonfly that has the same name as us.

I'd say Xenogears. Hands down. I love RPGs, and I thought the PSone had a great variety of RPGs. The one RPG that stood out the most for me was Xenogears.

*high fives*

Anywho, MGS1, FF7, and yes, the Spyro games. Even if he couldn't really fly, running around as a dragon was just win for me.

Wow, I haven't seen many of my favorites in this one other than the Spyro games.
Other favs:
Jet Moto 1,2, and 3
Crash Bandicoot 1,2,3, Crash Team Racing, and Crash Bash
Ape Escape (suprised I haven't seen this one mentioned)
and Ten Pin Alley, but I like this one because you can fling the geeks down the lane :)

Yeah, Suikoden II was amazing. Sadly I didn't get to finish it. I got about halfway through the game then I lost my memory card D:

I've been thinking about restarting it because I'd like to actually play through the entire thing. It's a pretty rare game too yeah? I think on eBay if someone's selling it used, it usually averages to about $120.

I am intrigued on what people have to say with these to games which is better in everyones opinion Suikoden 1 or Wildarms 1? I am thinking about geting one or the other on the PSN.

I liked Suikoden better, but they're both worth checking out if you have the time.

I could be biased and say Wild Arms since it was my introduction to RPGs. But they're both really good games. It's really difficult for me to pick because they're part of my two favorite game series.

Ape escape was actually a really fun game that I forgot existed, I can't recall the soundtrack but I do remember having hours of fun hunting down monkeys. I may actually try to hunt down a copy of it sometime :o

Suikoden 2, with Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen trailing a close second.

Of course Suikoden 2 isn't as fun without a 100% complete load from Suikoden 1.

Breath of Fire III, oddly enough. I have good memories of that game. Always hated losing Teepo, though, so I'd linger in the first bit for as long as possible and hope the fight against the horse arseholes would end differently.

Never did. Sigh.

I think i would have to go with Legend of Dragoon. The battle system was so much more captivating than other RPGs at the time, and I loved the story. Close second is FFVII though, that one was very good as well.

What? Why has nobody mentioned Vagrant Story yet?

I have to say Suikoden 2 is my favourite game ever, period, but vagrant story is a veeeery close second.

Anybody who has played Vagrant Story then played final fantasy XII will see what game they took most inspiritation from.
