O.o how in the ... A-. holy.

Well, I'm not getting it, I know that. I mean, it could be fun, but I still only have 1 Wii remote (working on that problem for GHIV) so yeah.

I've been really skeptical about this one too...but then I see stuff like this this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-KrPgcUcKyU) and this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cK5sJntsfKk) and I just...don't know. Maybe I'll wait and pick it up used.

...is it wrong that I actually think it looks mildly amusing?
Okay, mildly amusing *at best*. But still, had it not been featured so prominently during the horrifying debacle that was the Nintendo E3 presentation, I feel like it wouldn't be getting such a bum rap.
Although charging full price is nothing shy of ridiculous.

and also, lol @ 1up. Because if we're going by their reviewers scores, Wii Music > Dead Space. Ow, my brain.

Like Wii Music or not, you've got to respect Shigeru Miyamoto. He showed Wii Music to Channel 4 (UK station), but also commented on violence in video games and the economic situation: "We need to eat in order to live, that's our first priority."

Now, you've also got to love when clueless reporters report on games. The clip defined as "Super Mario Bros." is actually the non-Japanese SMB2.

"People like to poke fun, but if the Japanese are any indication, Wii Music is going to be serious business. The title debuted at the top spot in Japan this week, selling 92,000 copies. And 50,000 of those copies flew off the shelves on the game's first day at retail! But, doing well in Japan doesn't necessarily mean it'll do well in other territories. What do you think?"

I think most people are more inclined to throw their money at Rock Band or Guitar Hero, both of which are on the Wii and neither of which look like epic fail. :?

I never thought Wii Music was in the same category of games as Rock Band or Guitar Hero. I think it's more of a playful, weird game... like Endless Ocean.

1up reviewer: "A-. Displaying surprising depth and flexibility, the game's biggest downfall oddly, is the music itself." :?

http://sarcasticgamer.com/wp/index.php/ ... today.html (http://sarcasticgamer.com/wp/index.php/2008/10/wii-music-sells-two-copies-in-houston-today.html) Not sure how true that is about the rest of the world though.

Wii music might actually not be a super terrible game, but because of that demonstration at E3 I think it might just be the worst game ever.

GameTrailers just made their review, and after seeing what's really in it I now know I will never get this game.

Well Wii music is more like rythm not really playing the instament though. SO its not the fact of knowing the notes its the fact of have and developing you rythm

As much as spending 50 bucks for a glorified noise maker sounds, I'm going to pass. After seeing the ScrewAttack Out of the Box and the GT review and actually playing this at a store, it really is a pile of crap. To think that Miyamoto actually made this....tis a dark day for all.

This is why im probably not going to pick the game up. Playing an instrument (French Horn) has taught me a lot about music. Tho this game looks really cool, i dont think i want to play just another rhythm game. If it had something to do with notes, i might pick it up.

Who knows tho, i might end up getting it anyways just because

FYI, the GameTrailers review (linked above) shows that hitting minus (-) will bring up a note chart.

miyamoto was great in that interview, i think if the anti-gaming types saw this then it could change many disconcerted opinions and it really showed that game developers are not bad people that just make violent and explicit games, which is the popular opinion of the un-educated.

I have it on good authority that all 28,000 copies were actually purchased by rust.
He's using the cases to build a fort. Fort Rustington. It's to keep out dingos and giant spiders and girls.

First tell us what it's like being around Dennis Quaid and Patrick Swayze?
