I know the Yankees won't know about this, but I love this show and I think all Canadians should watch it.

The fourth season of Canada's Worst Driver just started up on Discovery Channel. I love this show, and their Canada's Worst Handyman series as well. It scares me sometimes though, more than any horror movie has.

Does anybody watch it?

I am from Regina. Riders are great and kicked the Bombers good. :P

Vacation to Regina? That I don't hear very often. Not that it's a bad place in any sense. ;)

Well, I live in a worse place...Thompson, Manitoba. It's a hell-hole! Also, I was camping, not really a vacation.

I wish I lived in Canada, then I could watch it too. Of course, over here in the Americas we have some similar shows, but I imagine things are a tad different over there in Canada.

I posted that last year, so I'm not really surprised it was removed. Here is something likely similar to what it was:

The most terrifying driver of that season was Donna:

There definitely are some bad drivers out there, at least the show is a way to get a laugh out of the danger and carnage some drivers can cause. I think the host is awesome too. :)

I truly don't get why they gave Donna her license after that series of clips...that is maybe the most terrifying show i have ever seen

They gave her license back to symbolize making her leave the show. They kicked her out because she nearly had a heart attack while taking one of the tests. The police officer they had as one of the judges called in for her to be retested, and as the email in the video implied, she lost her license because of it.

Honestly, that video isn't all of it. She found it thrilling to run red lights and stop signs. Her son mentioned how she drinks and drives, so she interjects with "Only after Bingo!"

Strike another thing up for awesome things Canada has that America does not.

Anyways, from those videos that Gwellin linked, I'm not sure if it is hilarious or frightening... I guess a little of both.

Wow, we have some similiar shows over here and they are relatively shocking just to see how bad some people drive.

These are the only "reality shows" I watch. The reason I like them is because although the Driver one has a "vote off the island" type thing, it is done differently. Each episode judges identify the best and worst drivers, the worst gets additional training while the best gets to leave because they are learning.

For the Handyman show it is similar, however the most improved handyman does not leave, but instead leads the group project in the next episode.

These shows aren't about embarrassing the participants, although I'm sure they do, it's more about teaching the proper techniques. That is the big difference to me.

Nyeh... I'd say that there's a healthy dose of purposefully and unnecessarily embarassing participants. Some of the challenges are unrealistic, things you'd never need to know. One thing that really bugged me was the first challenge in season 1 (I think) where contestants were supposed to brake when a red light came on. Then the show never turned the red light on, and wondered why the bad drivers didn't brake. Some of the problems (abusive passengers) are better dealt with elsewhere. Still, I think the show is generally a good thing, and worth watching, if only to see the outlandish people on it. Just so you guys know, not all Albertans are like that monster truck chick. :P

I did think Daily Planet's little exposť on CWD was quite funny.

I don't watch Daily Planet like I used to. I guess I preferred the old co-host better than the new ones they've had over the past few years.

Anyway, I found the piece you were talking about on the Discovery website. Though actual CWD episodes are locked to Canada, I believe Americans can watch this Daily Planet clip. It's an attempt of one of their challenges, and some slight science to how cars work.

After seeing this, I'm glad I live in America. Not saying all drivers are like that, but that Donna lady...that alone is making me happy I'm here and not there.

You know that just because there is a show about bad drivers in Canada doesn't mean that some American drivers fare much better, it depends on the person.

I do believe it was on a show on Fox about most outrageous drivers, or some such thing, where I saw footage of someone driving with his knees on a freeway while talking on a cellphone with one hand, had a coffee in the other hand, and a newspaper over the steering wheel.

You really mustn't think that Canadian drivers are any worse than drivers elsewhere. We just happen to have a show about it. We have a show called Canada's Worst Handyman, but we also have people like Mike Holmes (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_Holmes) who fixes terribly built homes and supports charities.
