yea I'm still a bit screptic because I heard that the battery time is going down because of the new LCD screen.

lol same, wouldn't upgrade to 2000 or 3000 when I'm ganna lose battery and firmware 1.5 plugin. May pick up a 2000 after the 3000 comes out if they're really cheap for skype but definitely will never trade my phat :P

After three versions of the PSP you think they would create a diffrent PSP. How much longer do you think Sony is gona keep up with this tho? Don't you think every one now who wanted a PSP already has a PSP?

Well yes and no. I actually got my PSP year ago so I'm new to the PSP but its like the DS thing if people use it in the way that sony thinks and people use tese new features then they will buy one. I'm for sure am not gonna need mic and a better screen.

1 I don't see the problem with the screen there is on now

2. I don't play online with it or use skype so no need for mic.

agreed, I would use skype but its not worth it to upgrade to a 3000 when I'll probably be able to get a 2000 and buy a mic for probably 80 dollars less. I don't see this being upgrade worthy for anyone, just something for new PSP Users I'd guess unless theres some big new feature they have yet to announce.

I don't think they are gonna announce anything new.

The 3000 has more noticeable scan lines and people aren't happy with it as it is a hardware problem that all the 3000's have.

I have the slim Darth Vader one (my first psp to own) and I only got it about a year ago... And guess what!? In under 6 months my mem card slot was broken and it won't read my memory card! YAY!

I haven't touched it since since when I bought it I didn't have the money for the Warrenty, just the system. =/
It's gonna cost me $91 to send it to sony and have them send me a new PSP. And I don't feel it's worth it until Birth By Sleep comes out.

I really think sony should make a new handheld system in like a year or 2 though. In stead of realeasing better versions of the hand held just like the Nintendo DS is on its third version.

Hopefully, I can get a PSP for my birthday. It will be my first PSP(I'm not joking...) reasons are
1. Need a MP3 player
2. Want to play Birth By Sleep
3. Want to the remakes of the first two Star Ocean games.

I still have my good ol' PSP 1000 (I'm assuming that's what it's called). Sure, the screen may have some defects and a dead pixel or two, but as long as it continues to play games I'm fine.

Yeah same here. My PSP-1000 is still in good shape; however, Sega's releasing the Project Diva 2nd Ippai Pack...comes with a Miku-themed PSP-3000 and I could not resist ._.
