I feel the achievements would be a decent addition if it was tied to an account in which people cared about achievements.

for the record, 800 x 600 would take up a small portion of the screen and i would have to probably squint to see it. kind of like when i use xsplit to play my console games

It won't be updated / revamped in any way, it's meant to be a port. I'd have to dig to find the article, but Square stated just last month that they won't remake FF7 until they release a Final Fantasy that "surpasses it."

they should/could at least update the background images in the prerendered environments so that they don't look like crap at a higher resolution.
everyone is assuming they are NOT doing this, but if you are "updated for modern machines" then I hope you would do more than just make it run on them :/

Re: Final Fantasy VII back on PC

I'll buy it. Achievements? For a Final Fantasy game? These things do not often exist. I mean, for me Achievements, while not worth bragging about excessively, make a replay of any game worth it to experience getting them and doing it all over for the awesomeness. So far, the only achievement-ish systems in the main FF series are pretty much just FFXIII and FFXIII-2 if you want to count that. FFXII actually has a sort-of like achievement system too called the Sky Pirates Den in-game, but it's not as modernized as most achievements are these days, and it's so out of the way that 95% of the time you forget it exists.

Ah, does it? Interesting, I never knew about that. I've only ever seen people play the PC version of FFXI.

Crystal Bearers has achievements as well, but I'm guessing you already know this based off your picture lol

That and they're all within the game itself, since no achievement system on Wii.
