    NES Classic Edition

Nintendo announced that they will be selling a replica "mini" NES that will go on sale for $59.99 starting 11/11. Unfortunately it will not play old cartridges but it will come pre loaded with 30 games. It's a pretty solid deal and what excites me the most is that the controllers that will be compatible with the wii u. http://www.nintendo.com/nes-classic

I like the idea, but I wish there were more than 30 games or I hope there's a way to expand on the library.

    Re: NES Classic Edition

I was super excited at first, but when there was more info and it became apparent that there's no way to expand the library my excitement was somewhat diminished. Depending on which price they sell for over here in Europe I may still get one, but it's not a must-buy. Still a decent game selection though, just wish it wasn't so limited.

I'm still interested in it. I know my cousin is, too. He's was a teen during the prime of the NES.

I'll be getting it, primarily for the controller but also to have some fun with the games!

    Re: NES Classic Edition

Mhm, in all likelyhood I'll just be getting a standalone controller.. Skipping the console mainly because I either already have the games or aren't that interested in them, but also because I'm running out of hdmi ports to connect the thing..

Assuming it sells for a reasonable price, I'll get one. I think it is a great idea and I would love to play the games on a big TV.
