Gonna try and record my first Let's Play today. Wish me luck!
I have a webcam and a mi built into my computer; however, my TV is up high and in a weird angle. I'm considering doing LP's but is there any thing that can help me zoom in on my tv, or should I wait and buy a capture card?

Well, attempt number one at recording met with dismal failure.![]()
First I had issues getting my computer to let me record game audio and talk on the microphone at the same time. Finally figured that out, but when I got down to finally recording I just couldn't get what I was saying right. >.< I would trip over my words or leave big pauses while I figured out what to say, and I think I chose a bad way to start it anyway. Oh well. At least I'll be better prepared for my second attempt, which might be tomorrow.
I've thought about doing LPs. I have all the equipment I need for it, but I hate the way my voice sounds in recordings. If I could get over that, I think I might be halfway decent at it, since I haven't watched enough LPs to mimic anyone (I've seen 3, maybe 4 total). Maybe I'll do it someday.![]()

The thing is don't think about messing up and if you do mess up, just keep your cool. Try to fix your mistake. After the end of your recordings always re watch them. If you don't like it you could always re-do it and fix the mistake. Once you start doing it, it becomes a everyday task like putting a shirt on.Originally Posted by Trombonus

Once my Capture Card is all set up, I intend to start my first LP in the Fall. A choice between Mario Tennis: Power Tour or something else I can't remember. :P
Sounds good, try doing a Mario Galaxy Let's PlayOriginally Posted by the1stpkmnfan

I make LPs! My YouTube is in the signature.
I've always found Let's Plays pretty interesting, or should I say I've found the concept interesting since I've never actually watched one. I think I might do an LP of a PC game sometime soon (since I have no capture card at the moment) before I've ever watched another LP, and maybe that will give me a unique style. Who knows? But it sounds pretty entertaining.
Sorry for the double post, but I've got a question for you all: For my first LP, should I do The Minish Cap, Ocarina of Time, or Majora's Mask (keeping in mind I've never beaten MM)?
