    The FreeWare Database

    [center:3tyzrjff]The Freeware Database[/center:3tyzrjff]

This topic is to be a collection of completely free programs that can run on your computer, or anything really. The programs can be anything, from game makers to office suites.

And, just to state, I will need your help in making this one of the best freeware lists on the internet! Please note that 'cracked' files do not count as freeware.

[center:3tyzrjff]Office Software, Operating Systems, & File Transfer Protocols

    Graphics Software

    Internet Browsers

    Antivirus/Firewalls, Security, & System Maintenance

    Music & Media

Email & Instant Messaging, Social Network Clients, & Storage

    Thanks you! [/center:3tyzrjff]

I will continue to update this regularly, and I ask, now, for your help, wonderful community! Please post completely free programs, software, and the like, and let's make this the best collection of freeware files on the 'Net! I would prefer it if you would leave a comment explaining the program with your post. Thanks again! <3

    Music: foobar2000
Edit: Worth mentioning that foobar2000 is very easy on memory. For me, foobar starts and stays at around 20MB of RAM usage, whereas Songbird starts at 100MB or more, and keeps increasing from there.

Graphics Gale is a nice graphics program that's primarily directed towards pixel artists. Has both free and pay version. And the free version isn't at all that limited, just some file formats that aren't available.

Sorry about this guys, but single posts only give you a limited amount of URLs, so I'm gonna have to split the lists up into separate posts. Please forgive me for consecutive posting...

    [center:9kqoct6k]Graphics Software[/center:9kqoct6k]

GIMP - An extremely powerful image editing software that is on the same level as Adobe Photoshop.

paint.NET - A useful image editing tool, not as powerful as GIMP, but simpler and better for use in everyday life.

PhotoFiltre - Another powerful image editing software

Graphics Gale - A nice graphics program that's primarily directed towards pixel artists. Has both free and pay version. And the free version isn't at all that limited, just some file formats that aren't available.

Inkscape - Inkscape is a free open source vector graphics editor on the same level as Adobe Illustrator.

Blender - "Blender is the free open source 3D content creation suite, available for all major operating systems under the GNU General Public License."

Adobe Creative Suite CS2 (Including Photoshop) - Probably the most well known image editing software has been kind of released to the public through a technical mix up with Adobe. CS2 Works with Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, and PowerPC Macs. If you have an Intel Mac with 10.6 or below, look up Rosetta and how to install it. Requires an Adobe Account (free).

Mozilla Firefox - Perhaps the best browser out there, it is the second most used browser on the market, has tons of plug-ins, has amazing virus protection - what more could you ask for?

Google Chrome - An extremely fast browser with a very simple and appealing design.

Opera - A powerful and safe browser. This browser is employed by Nintendo as their official browser for the Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS/DSi.

Internet Explorer - The world's most widely used Internet browser, it is by default the most targeted and most open to virus'. Still, it does have it's perks...

Flock - A social orientated web browser.

Safari - A powerful and fast browser created by Apple.

Maxthon - A great browser with a lot of add ons and attributes.

Camino - A powerful and secure web browser for Mac.

TenFourFox - Firefox optimized for PowerPC Macs (G3's and above). Works with Tiger (10.4) and Leopard (10.5)
